Google Reader – The best RSS feed reader out there. Without this I would read less than 10% of what I read today.
Evernote – This is my note taker for my research. It is easy to clip from online and easy to search, share, read … from there.
Dropbox – I pay for the premium service just so I can get 50 Gb of space; but even at the free 2Gb level it allows file syncing, sharing, and online access with amazing simplicity.
Instapaper - Clip something now to read in the near future … works particularly well with mobile devices.
bit.ly – Quickly shorten and share links … and collect analytics when somebody clicks them.
